Besides, our brain is designed in such a way that if you set imprecise or ambiguous goals, it tends to perceive them as something difficult or difficult. Thus, having clearly defined goals and objectives will allow you not to enter into a fight with your willpower.

Usually, after completing one of the tasks or assignments, we tend to take a short break, for example, for one day. A little trick is that after finishing one task, you should immediately start on the next, and then tomorrow you will have a better idea of ​​what needs to be done. This will avoid procrastination, as your brain will not perceive the task as something new and unclear. Therefore, there will be less resistance to it.

The same idea can be used when reading books. Instead of closing a book after reading a particular chapter, immediately start reading the next one. After reading even one page of a new chapter, you are more likely to continue reading the next day.

How to solve complex problems?

Similar to methods applied to willpower, you do not have to bang your head against a wall trying to solve a difficult problem or problem. The point is to help your brain find the solution itself.

  • Take short breaks.

Allow your brain to rest after long and hard work on a specific problem. For example: while we are walking, taking a shower, or just cleaning the apartment, our brain along the way continues to think about the problem that we could not solve, on a subconscious level. It is enough just to move away from your workplace or computer for a while and you will understand everything.

  • Sleep.

Instead of poring over another problem for a whole hour to no avail, try to get some sleep. When you sleep, your subconscious mind continues to work on the problem. Waking up early in the morning, in the middle of the night, or while taking a shower, you may find that you have finally found the right solution.

  • Start working on another problem or project.

Sometimes solutions to problems come automatically when you don’t think about them. So, instead of struggling with one difficult task, try working on another.
